you dont need a valid copy of wow to play on a private server..

and then just download both of them and u can play. Just dont sign up for the 10day trial, just download the games!

if your running this server off a pc in your home connected through a router make sure you forward all the wow ports to that pc's ip address

use the no-ip client to make the ip more rememorable.. i used to host a super popular private runescape server way long back, i made the ip panchoscape.servegame.com or something similiar, and yes it was called panchoscape lol

it was sick nasty, too bad i gave it up =/
