Freesync registry key.

I have aoc g2460pf monitor which is freesync one and rx 580 . By default freesync is on and i always disable it . Since build 1803 or 1709 i dont remember windows does not include amd settings and installs only amd driver. I think considering quality of amd software i dont want to install it either. So my question is how do i disable freesync in registry. I know its on because monitor gui shows its on but there is no option to enable/disable this in monitor gui because it only has informative character. Monitor tells me its on i can see that its on by how screen behaves and small flickering when game starts and syncing happens. So i want registry key thats beeing changed when i toggle freesync to off in radeon settings. I dont want to install amd software because its low quality which best proof is even microsoft stopped addding it and adds only gpu driver alone.

Your using the AMD software either way, you are just lacking the control panel. Microsoft doesn't write drivers. So load up the latest driver and get the benefits of a control panel. Last time I looked at the AMD registry keys they were a convoluted mess and you won't get anywhere there.

There are two XML files that will overwrite any changes on the next boot as well from the last time I went tweaking the video and other settings.

Yes thats true those settings are in registry anyways gui is just to make it simple but i dont want to see that crap. Is there a chance to disable it via registry ? Also if its such a mess nvidia is better in that regard? Asking because im curious. Performance wise i know that fact that 0 "pro gamers" for example in the world use amd gpu is the answer and amd destiny is to be placed in library or other non-demanding places but still curious.

You should get the option in display settings of windows , it's not called freesync but still.

Its not true what you wrote . Please dont spread desinformation and educate yourself then write something you are 100% sure about. The only setting that is in display settings is resolution nothing more. You probably thought about display settings > graphic options and there variable refresh rate which is windows 10 feature for higher refresh rate monitors . Its windows feature not nvidia/intel/amd feature so its not true . Im talking exclusevly about "freesync" i dont want information about "variable refresh rate" or "g-sync"

Look, in win 2004 at least.

Disabled variable refresh in Windows disables freesync in the control panel.
Enabled freesync enables variable refresh in Windows.

I've tried it.

Not true just tested it build 2004.

Record it if it works. Im pretty sure its not working there is no other way than full driver install on newest drivers another point proves that you dont know what your talking about.

Seriously though @podkaracz @sneekypeet is a mod and was doing you a favour by telling you to word your comments more construtively before you face being moderated for what it comes across as angry and aggressive posts..

And if you react this way to people who are trying to help or add their opinions then if you dont get moderated, you will also likely find no one willing to help you out with such a perceived attitude

But I'm watching star wars ,this is a cruncher and I'm done both assisting and ever listening to you,Op.

oh and if you're running the windows only graphics driver then dont complain when an amd feature that is built into their control panel isnt available in windows display settings cause you dont like AMD drivers, I think you'll find many features that are available in the amd control panel arent available natively in windows regardless if you have an amd gpu or not

When testing his advice i installed latest drivers with amd control panel and rebooted between changing toggle to make sure to fill all possibilities. Did you ask if i did it or you write something without confirmation and knowledge in that area? Another report candidate for spam.
