Something weird happened to the GPUZ monitoring of my system. My CPU got a bit hot.

I thought I'd share. Then I thought others must have weird, impossible things that may be worth a laugh. Feel free to share. And yes, the GPU is hot too but according to Powercolor that's all-in spec...
 
A long time ago, HWMonitor told me my cpu was running at 6327 MHz on the stock intel cooler. In fact, I was overclocking it, but only to 4000 MHz at the time. Took a nice screenshot to show off to my friends though. :)

Yeah I see the same from hwinfo, CPU hitting 120C+ or something every once in a while.
 
I don't have screenshots on me but my old ASUS H61 motherboard decided to spook me out with ~120C readings on PCH. In fact it was just about 50C.
Task manager in Windows also showed me incorrect CPU frequency numbers, often ~40 percent higher than actual speed on a Gigabyte Z68 board.

Well, it got that hot because "you're holding it wrong"...:D..:roll:..:cry:
