I've got the 2933 8 GB kit for review, will get to it as soon as I get a board that supports it properly...which should happen soon.

Does any of the "old" Z77 or socket 1150 systems run with these, heck even 2133 would be crazy

Z77, maybe with a super-lucky CPU. Even on 1150, may take the right CPU, I think some CPUs may do 2800 MHz divider only.

Considering the 4x4GB kit is $4000, I shudder to think what the 4x8GB will command.
