G.SKILL International Co., Ltd., the leading high performance memory designer and manufacturer, is releasing the world's fastest DDR4 memory kit at a breath-taking and neck-breaking 3333MHz!!! With a total capacity of 16GB (4GBx4), the system can take full advantage of quad channel mode and crank up the bandwidth speed to new heights. Not to mention the CAS timings are maintained at a nice CL16-16-16-36, and fully validated on the newest ASUS Rampage V Extreme X99 motherboard.

In addition to the extremely high end DDR4 3333 MHz memory kit, Ripjaws 4 series memory kits are also now available in 3300 MHz 16GB (4GBx4) and 3200MHz 16GB (4GBx4). These high end models are available in sleek black and slated to be available September 5th, on Newegg.com. For all other countries and regions, these high end Ripjaws 4 will be available very soon. The 4x 4GB quad-channel DDR4-3333 kit is available now, at US $699.99.

Next there will be world's fastest 3666, 3999... Hopefully no one jumps the line..!

This is meant for benchers who don't care about the price...

I know it's a new platform and technology and all that but I beleive GSkill already hold the DDR3 world recored which stands at 4,404mhz CL13, I appreciate that they are pro overclockers and the out of the box speed for those were 3000mhz but $699.99 really? I suppose on the positive side, if there is similar headroom on some of the new DDR4 stuff Dave could be showcasing x99 motherboard reviews in a few months running memory at 5gig!! Damn the worlds going mad :D

Its really not that far outta line when you consider lesser kits are selling for around $100 - $150 less and arent nearly as fast.

The price is ridiculous stupid. Just to be clear, the tech to have mainstream 5Ghz RAMs is there. For the love of God, they have 7Ghz Video RAMs which is similar tech.
p.s.
Waiting for Jorge with his comment now... :)

Early adopters usually get screwed.

Looks like G.Skill took a page from Corsair's pricing strategy. Love the RAM though!

Insane prices for the fastest stuff isn't anything new, the fastest DDR3 kits are even more expensive than this. I would do the same if no other company could compete with my speeds because some people will pay for the best.

Meanie :( (Joke)

Yea, DDR4 prices are very high right now and hard to get the cheaper variants lol. I ended up with 2666 Corsair Memory because it was the best priced that was left lol...

GDDR5 memory on video cards is a bit different then DDR3/DDR4 RAM.

Except for double data lines and larger bus, technology wise they are pretty much identical ;)
