G.Skill's entry into the ITX chassis market looks rather unique with the tapered front. While not the first to offer bent glass, the Z5i sports quite the tight bending radius with its panels being the core design element. Read on to find out how the G.Skill Z5i enclosure fares against all the established brands out there.

It would be interesting how it would thermally perform with mesh/cloth panels than the hot box glass panels. I guess you could simulate it with taking the glass panels off?

Damn that case is a hot box! :fear:

I don't understand why manufacturers cannot think of a good design with mesh. The glass is also too dark to see any component inside so what's the point anyway? Glass is also much heavier which contradicts the purpose of SFF case. Mesh can be aesthetically pleasing with the right material and finishing too.

Small case needs a lot of ventilation unlike a big tower case, glass on all side is such a bad idea. It's a glass house.

Will they slash the price to $100 to unload these and release aluminum mesh doors for $50 a pair? Or will it be $50ea alum doors at standard $200? Or some combination of the above...either way, they wont sell until they lose the glass :( sorry gskill

You guys don't get this case at all.

SFF stands for: Slow Frying Furnace

You're supposed to put bacon strips, chicken wings and pork chops inside. When it's done, you open the magnificent glass wings for deliciously fried goods (no oil needed).
