Known more for its gaming peripherals (input devices), Gamdias entered the power-supply market with the launch of its Cyclops X1 and Astrape P1 series. The Cyclops X1 is the more premium series of the two, and for now, only has a 1200W model. The Atrape P1 comes in 750W, 650W, and 550W models, with three 650W models based on cabling and efficiency. What's common between all Gamdias PSUs is RGB LED-illuminated fan, with a rear-panel switch to toggle lighting, a and "silent mode" switch that turns off the fan, which feels too closely placed to the main AC input switch (what could possibly go wrong?).

The Cyclops X1-1200P features 80 Plus Platinum efficiency, fully modular cabling, and enough juice and straws for an enthusiast build with up to four graphics cards (ten PCIe 6+2 and two 8-pin EPS). The Astrape P1-750G and P1-650G feature 80 Plus Gold efficiency, fully-modular cabling, and cabling for high-end builds with 2-3 graphics cards. The Astrape M1-650B has 80 Plus Bronze efficiency and completely fixed cabling, while the Astrape M1-650W and M1-550W only have 80 Plus (no extension) efficiency, and fixed cabling for a mid-range build with 1-2 graphics cards.

Gamidas Astrape... hmmmm, don't think I've watched that hentai yet.

:banghead: Not sure if that or the Astrape name is worse.

One switch to make your PSU silent, the other is to make the whole PC silent, convenient no?

Astrape (Αστραπή) means "lightning" in Greek.

Cyclops (Κύκλωπας) is also the genre of mythical one-eyed giants in the Odyssey of Homer.

Seems to be a trend for Hardware manufacturers to name their products after Greek Olympian Gods or creatures of the Greek mythology.
