Since 2011 they've held biannual speed-running events to raise money for charity. Can check out past runs on YouTube. The next event is happening from July 3rd to the 10th and with proceeds going to Doctors without Borders.
I don't always have the time for hands-on nostalgic feels so watching the runs is the next best thing, especially with this years schedule. On the 4th there will be a 100% completion run-through of Link's Awakening. I've played that only 3 times, and it was released way back in 1993. On the 6th there's an Any% run of Strife, a Doom-engine game that I really enjoyed when it came out in 1996 but haven't played since. Beyond that, there's Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy VI, and Diablo II.
Many more notable games will be played, check the schedule in case there's some games that you'd like to watch live. Start time and estimated completion time are given per game, as well as playing condition (100%, Any%, Glitched or not, etc).
