I'm struggling with choices as I'm due for a new keyboard and mouse. My Azio MGK1 is just too noisy and the LED's are failing. Also, my Logitech G602 is stuttering and stopping frequently (tried re-flashing firmware, replaced batteries, reinstalled software etc.)

So, I'm on the hunt for a new keyboard and mouse. I do prefer wireless mice solutions over wired for convenience and a mechanical keyboard with led backlighting, but the noise of mech switches are just too noisy. So my current options are:

Option 1:
- Razer Mamba Chroma RGB Wireless Laser Gaming Mouse (have received good reviews, expensive and I have no idea about Razor quality, performance etc.)
- Razer DeathStalker Chroma Gaming Keyboard (chiclet keys only but will be quieter than Razors mechanical keyboard offerings that I can see)

Option 2:
- Corsair Gaming Sabre RGB Optical Gaming Mouse (wired only, cheaper alternative to wireless)
- Corsair Gaming Strafe RGB Mechanical Keyboard Cherry MX Silent (expensive, quietest solution for a mechanical keyboard)

Any advice much appreciated.

I am using the K70 LUX Reds which I bought about a month ago, and I can recommend it, nice keyboard. But the software is unpolished, though you might not need it often. For mouse either G403 or Kone Pure Military (user here), former will give you the very best sensor and best after sales too, and KPM is just brilliant for people looking for a smaller and lighter mouse. Sorry no idea about Razer, never owned one, never will.

if your 602 is stuttering more then likely the optics are dirty or smudged and try different mousepad or two.

I've been a fan of Logitechs LGS software its easy to use with keyboard macro [G] keys.

I ended up settling for the Razer Mamba Chroma RGB Wireless Mouse and the Razer DeathStalker Chroma Keyboard. Cost me small fortune so hopefully the expectations stack up.

You realize that you're basing your opinion of mechanical switch noise on one of the loudest switch types there is. I own that Azio MGK you had and those are blue switches kaith blue if I remember correctly and they're extremely loud, if you were to get a mechanical keyboard with a red cherry red or even something quieter than blue you'd find it to be much much quieter.

I just don't want you to have a bad impression of mechanical switch sound levels because you happened to use one of the loudest types there is

That's why those Azio MGK keyboards sold for so cheap. Think about it they have fully customizable RGB lighting, they're almost entirely metal and high-strength plastic cased and They have very good quality switches, and their cable is as thick as a number two pencil ,there so cheap because of the sound

Based on the noise level of your old keyboard I have to imagine anything would be quieter :) good luck

Don't get me wrong though those azio keyboards are fantastic quality mine still runs strong in their support is good too I like that there's no driver required

To be truthfully honest, you're assumption was quite correct. Keyboards is one area I just really knew nothing about and was a bit ignorant to the fact as well. Those keys are loud on the MGK1, however I can say now I am slightly a little wiser since researching lately.

you made a good choice going with the chiclet keys because the razer blackwidow (at least from my keyboard) is extremely loud.
