Gaming Mouse Upgrade

No problem. I have Asperger's disorder and have a hard time reading social cues.

I can back that up, I have aspergers too (first person ive found on the net with asp)

Btw the Deathadder is a good choice I went to upgrade recently and went back to the deathadder cause its so good

Im stuck between the Rat 7 and the mamba. I need to find someone in the MS area that will let me test drive aka handle these mice. You never buy a car without trying it first.

There is no other mouse but the RAT 7.

4 mice to look at but it's all about the feel.

Logitech G5
Logitech G9x
Razer Deathadder
Coolermaster Storm

Ive owned three of those mice and the RAT 7 beats them all.

Not that it really matters but i also have aspergers syndrome
I don't understand social queues at all either, nobody with aspergers does really. I wouldn't really say cant understand more like inability, even when you learn its forced rather than natural.

I bought a Steelseries Kinzu just a few months ago. Its a decent mouse but has no side buttons, the tracking is good but it is only an optical mouse not laser. The Steelseries xai laser is its bigger brother so to speak, its laser so the tracking is better, side buttons, slightly larger build and the xai also costs more. The last steelseries mouse i will mention is the ikari laser which is another good choice but again more expensive.

Depends a lot on the grip you have. I used to have an old Microsoft optical wheel mouse and it was comfortable for me to use more so than the Razer diamondback 3G i had and the Steelseries Kinzu i mentioned.

Get a decent mat because on my desk the sensor doesn't work right and on a certain plastic mat in my cousins i notice mice just seem to fly everywhere. SO i noticed the surface makes a difference.

EDIT: Depends a lot on budget also. The Cyborg R.A.T - 7 is expensive but more than likely worth its price.

Right, so it is finally down to the wire. I need to know, RAT 7 or Mamba? Keep in mind I have big hands and tend to play with the PALM style. I like a bit of weight to my mice. I want to get it either tonight or tomorrow. :banghead:

Razer DeathAdder is pretty crazy. I just got one today. 3500dpi. Programmable side buttons. Change the glow settings of the mice, it's pretty good and looks quite sexy. Any good Razer, Logitech mice will give you benefit.
DeathAdder is awesome

RAT is far better. My hands are huge also. 6.1 300lbs. so you can imagine my hand size.

So you are saying that the RAT 7 is better than all of them? Even with the 1 star ratings?

Well I own one. I'm using one right now. Who gave it a one star rating. I would LOVE to see the reasons for it.

There is no other mouse on the market as far as I am concerned.

Yeah most of those are from people who do not know how to uninstall old drivers, keep thier pad clean OR didnt set up the mouse correctly.

I had everyone of those issues until I talked to a MadCats rep. here on the forum. It can be tricky to setup Ill admit but well worth the little bit of effort. Once you get this thing customized to where you want it then there is no other mouse.

Oh an 12 negitive reviews and 72 postitive? Really man?

Nah, I just want to make sure I dont waste my money you know? I like the Mamba but the reviews. I also dont have any stores in the area that display them for me to try.

I think I will probably go with the Rat as it is on sale for 75 on amazon. Would you be willing to post a guide here for configuring it?

The good thing about the RAT is you basically build the thing the way you want. Hight and width are all adjustable. Wait until you use the "pinky wing"!

Havent used the rat...Just got the Q-pad. It is ine of the most comfy mice I have ever used. Alittle on the light side it is bigger than the MX518. All fingers are off the mousepad. :)
