A QX6850 Might Keep
Might Keep proven good chip
Make Offer!
I purchased (2) yes TWO - QX6850's a few weeks ago and one seemed one QX6850 stood out better then the other, It was 5 to 7 degrees cooler then the other one and seemed easier to OC.
I got it to go over 4Ghz on air but I felt it was starting to heat up, so i planned to get me some water and play with the QX6850 on my 790i FTW and my Rampage Formula with sweet ram.
So i was just running it at 333Mhz and a divider of 11 for a while and playing with it on and off.
So this chip had my interest BUT I also wanted to see if there was any other interest from someone like me but with deeper pockets., They go for around 400 normally and that is for the unopened ones, so you could get a ok one or you could get one with potential like this one. So i think i would want more to get rid of this very interesting chip and I just wanted to see if anyone might be interested and we can talk. So that's my story, money is tight for such a high priced toy but this chip has my interest.
Give me a shout and lets see what YOU think.
The QX6850 is a sweet chip! and i have some photo's from when i was testing both of them . 3.8GHZ @ 1.392v , i'd say that is pretty sweet! That is the first picture i showed you!
The 4G picture is this chip only....
But i even got it to play nice over 4.007Ghz..... Have a look!
Check out the second picture it did 4.007Ghz @ 1.44v and i prob could have got that voltage down a bit but it was just playing on air, and still the temps were not bad, see the core temp...
So to wrap this up, if your looking for a REAL QX6850 that kicks butt and doesn't burn up in the process, then I think you have found it here....
But i still am undecided if I want to part with it.
Look forward to talking.
