Ok - quick question.. I know the G210 is slow, but for light gaming it is better than nothing.

In the Wiki listing of Nvidia GPUs, the Geforce G 210 is listed as 2.356 MPixel/s and 4.712 MTexels/s of output. So of course if it were clocked at 600MHz it would be 2.4 and 4.8 respectively. Now, the strange thing is that GPU-Z reads 2.4MPixels and oddly, 2.9 MTexel/s.

It's like the thing has 5 texturing units instead of 8....... ? I'm kinda baffled. If it were 2.4/2.4 I would simply figure EVGA stiffed me with a Geforce 205 chip. But, I don't know what is going on lol. Any ideas?

its probably being misread by gpuz

a screenshot would be incredibly helpful

Ok, so I was thinking I should try an older version of GPU-Z (Because I thought I remembered seeing it displayed correctly on an older version such as 0.4.9)

So I went back a way...

That would be it - quite pitiful that the "reference" design has 500MHz DDR2 and all of the manufacturers are throwing on 400MHz chips. Mine came with Samsung chips that the datasheet on Samsung's site lists as 500MHz.. yet EVGA clocks them at 400. I am glad that this card was: A) $5 after rebate w/free shipping, B)put into my sister's computer who doesn't game (better than the IGP, almost.. lol), and C) does in fact produce 4.8GTexels -> because I wanted to be sure this thing is at least a little better than the ATI 4200 IGP.

Wow, I must laugh at myself, in the original post I put "MPixels" and "MTexels".. I remember my Voodoo1 lol.

Thanks guys

seems to be related to our new tmu count calculation method, i'll take a look
