The Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Super Aorus Master stands out as a huge card with the most potent cooler in the testing lineup. It also boasts a factory overclock, dual BIOS and an impressive power limit adjustment range of up to 350 W which lets the card almost reach RTX 4070 Ti performance.

Well, the added board power is nice, but for 100 usd less you could get the zotac and overclock that, which sure, board power, but the zotac still has an admirable cooler, and is 100 coins less. Or depending on where you live, maybe you are lucky enough to find a 7900XT for close to 750 or about

That’s some subpar noise performance even with a quiet BIOS considering how beefy the cooler is, not gonna lie.

man so every 4070Super can be flashed with 350W BIOS that make them within spitting distance of the 4070Ti :D

2slot is 3.5cm so this card is 4slot
4cm precisely. 2cm slot. How can you get it wrong.

With some fine-tuning. 250W is plenty.

The price premium is unjustified. This should be $649 at best.

Just measured msi gaming oc 960, not in a single way is 4cm, laying flat 3.6cm
Measure it on your case, slot to slot distance 20.5mm. gigabyte super master being 71mm is in fact 3.6 slot. not 3.
and yes we can subtract 5mm for the backplate. it still overshoots a little.

Yeah, you can probably get the msrp 4070 Ti 16GB super for a few bucks more.

Yeah but won't change a thing. 4070 Ti can be overclocked just as well and this is a 699 dollar custom card. You are paying 100 bucks more for literally nothing.

I overclocked a friends 4070 Ti to 25.000+ GPU Score in Time Spy. 10-12% improvement from stock. He paid 650 dollars like 9 months ago. Seems like better value than 4070 SUPER for 700 in 2024.

I'd like to see any 4070 SUPER hit 25K with 24/7 OC on Air. They all hit ~21000 GPU Score in TimeSpy according to GURU3D., on the OC'ed custom cards. Might be able to hit 22500 with additional OC, meaning still 10% behind 4070 Ti with OC.

Zotax 4070 Ti Super will probably be the go to card. Gigashite QC is questionable.
Zotac pretty much have the worst VRMs on 3000 and 4000 series. VRM makes little sense tho (for regular users), as 4000 uses TSMC 4nm aka tweaked and optimized 5nm which is very efficient.

Calling Gigabyte shite tho, seems strange when Zotac is not better at all.

Zotac is in the lower tier if you ask me. Even their "higher end" custom cards are not even close to the actual high end custom cards, gimping power more than needed. Many ZOTAC cards have less power limit than Founders cards.

If voltage locked, 350Watts wouldn't mean anything. 50% more power for 7% more performance is not good. That power limit bonus requires a golden-chip to be useful. So a lower-voltage chip can go higher currents or higher frequencies.

350W power limits LOL. thats 75% higher than stock!

It's nice that the option exists but one of the advantages the 4070S is power efficiency. Throwing that out of the window for a 6% performance boost seems like a bad trade-off to me.

i bought this card based on its looks, it looks amazing. i was shocked at the gaming temps though. i was getting higher temps on this massive card compared the Gaming Oc version of the same thing. i bought and tested both. the Aorus ran at 50C on my rig and the Gaming Oc ran at 40C on my rig with the same exact fan curve. i have no idea how or why this could happen when the card is a lot larger than the other version.

Hello there. I have this card and using it stock(no aditional overclock). I attached my TimeSpy score. Temp was just under 60 degrees so very good cooling implementation for this card.
