Patience is a virtue.

A virtue that I don't have LOL

pulled the trigger on a powercolor MBA for the same price as the MERC310, I have 15 days to feel the full weight of regret crushing down on my shoulders

If I can get for my 3070Ti what it deserves (tight card, low hotspot delta, no fan noise or coil whine), I won't feel so bad about the purchase. The way I see it, by the time the price drops happen to $750, I'll get less for the 3070Ti anyway

Not the case for lfawolf of course, they're getting a good price for the 6800xt.

@LFaWolf me and my big mouth

Woke up this morning to see the MERC310 7900XT at $1150, first party from Amazon. Next card up is the Sapphire MBA at $1250.

Which is about $850USD, realistically maybe even $800-825 considering the usual canuckistan markup.

Unfortunately it's way too honking large for my case (344mm) so I will continue waiting. But maybe it's a good sign for US prices? Wasn't expecting it, given how unimpressive the 4070 Ti is.
Is that an XT or XTX? If it is an XT that is too much.
This reference model XTX has been sitting for hours now. I am getting a sense that enough stock is finally coming in.

Other 7900 XT AIB partner models are also price at $900, which is a lower than launch day prices.

$cad not $usd

Our AIB XTX are also about that much in usd but never in stock. I'll keep an eye out for better deals while I wait.

Short of an official price drop announcement a decent AIB XT @ $825-850 doesn't seem like the worst deal ever. Not great either, but I was only trying to convey hope that prices will come down, not that you should jump asap lol

Wow, that is a nice price. I am surprised you guys have the price cut before us.

Probably gonna regret it in a few days when it drops further lol

Last year there were a couple areas where our prices beat the exchange rate. Bunch of Ryzen 5000 CPUs, 5800X3D for a while, some monitors all were priced lower than US. Not really for GPUs.........though 6800/6800XT/6900XT were all very competitive on amd.com for months but I was too afraid of the 600W power spike to pull the trigger :banghead:

How is 6800XT/6900XT stock in the states? Up here availability has almost completely dried up. Maybe another sign that prices are about to drop.........or a sign that AMD will fill their RX7000 stack.

The timing of the Powercolor MBA and XFX MERC makes me think that the price drop is planned, and that the brick and mortar stores just need a few days to catch up. So far the 4070 Ti is priced about the same or even higher than the XT here, definitely not the $100 difference there should be.

I'm tempted to even buy a used 6800XT with less than a year warranty from a cryptominer. Because I think that the market is configured in a such manner to dry up all the existing high-end RX 6000 and RTX 3000 series cards, used or new, w/e. And then you can guess what? The prices of the newest series from both are gonna rise even more as there will be no substitute. Just one of my pre-apocalyptic thoughts. It's your fault for saying the word.

Don't shoot the messenger :fear: I wish I could put both sad and funny reax on that post, one is not enough

Almost all my camera gear is used and I've sold plenty but I hesitate when it comes to buying PC components used; I feel like people don't take care of their stuff. Though, 6800XT is not a GDDR6X card, so it should be fine right? That and huge dies (TU102) seem to be the main thing to watch out for on used market.

I only included 6800XT/6900XT/6950XT/7900XT(X) in the parametric filter, but it's much the same across the whole market. Above $400 it's kinda like a dead void, you'd think we were still in a shortage. Except for a few deals on 6600XT/6700XT/6750XT and one TUF 6800 I haven't seen anything in months.

TBH, I think the most important thing is to have any kind of warranty. At least to know where the person lives, so you could shoot him dead, and his family for trying to scam you in the first place. Jokes aside, I think even a half of the year is enough to thoroughly test the card. Since gaming load is nothing in compare to mining one. Except for the RAM, my experience tells me that RAM chips are the first component to degrade from extensive mining load. Mining load = compute load. W/E, I had too many drinks anyway.

Where do you find it for $800?

I have nearly the same dilemma, only difference is I game at 1080p and i am stuck between 6750xt and 7900xt. Should i just pick the 6750xt ? 7900xt costs 1.5 times more where i live and i probably would have to upgrade my 650w PSU.

$750 is my buy point.
More have dropped down to 799.99$, so you might get your wish at 750.00$ price in the near future.

If I were you I will stick with 6750 xt (or better yet, 6700xt as that is a better value. They are the same chip, just faster memory).
