If you haven't read the writing on the wall, "mainstream media" is a dying breed. Social networking is the way games get attention now and nothing causes a firestorm of publicity like a big sale. And marketing? Haven't seen to many ads in mainstream media for GoG. Honestly the only place I have ever seen them is people talking about it on TPU. Steam is the industry standard. Sorry chum but GoG has HUGE shoes to fill.
GOG's present problem is selection of newer titles. As I said previously, that's their weakness they need to improve upon. If you want GOG to stick it to the man, buy Witcher 3 on GOG and only GOG. If GOG sales of Witcher 3 are enormous and outnumber all other platforms by a wide margin, CD Projekt will be very vocal about that, AAA publishers will take note and may publish an A-AA title on GOG to see how it does. If those titles are equally as successful on GOG, a landslide will ensue.
