like the title says, i need something good, especially something that can change font and background AND read CHM files

a friend showed me reader on his iphone and i was like "i bet PC has something like that!" :laugh:
but i just need it to read books, that's all

FBReader would be my only pick. I am sure it will do everything you asked and then some.

CHM is some weird tangent of HTML that is designed for portable devices iirc. Many OS e-book reader software platforms will ignore this format because there are like 10 other formats that are better to use when you have a complete computer at your disposal. You can get FBReader below.

Thanks, it is actually a lot better than a lot of other programs i've seen. I just wish it had an option to always display window with index page

but that will do!
