Gothic 1 Remake: gpu performance.

Benchmark Scores The best GPU in the world is the brain. 100!
I played the demo at maxed settings in 1440p resolution and my 4070 ventus 2x gets 24-37 FPS depending on location. I guess it has physx on gpu and this makes torch, water, cloth simulations lower the fps to 24.

Cpu is ryzen 7900 125Watt setting and runs 80W with 40% usage. Gpu is always 100%.

Anybody with 50 series tested this?
 
Just checked the demo. I dont think it's physx, I also get 20-40FPS at 1440p Max settings with 99% GPU usage. But just changing GI setting to Gothic quality almost doubles the FPS. So I'm guessing it's just bad RT implementation.
But demo seemed a little broken anyway. Once my character just became invisible. I've also seen erratic behaviour on FPS while playing with graphics settings. Hopefully they'll fix these on release and implement FSR and XeSS too cuz TSR is a mess and TAA implementation in demo literally unrepresentable. I also noticed lowering resolution scale doesnt give much FPS improvement for some reason. Could be another bug though.

Ah, yes. Still waiting for W1z to add it to mobile :laugh: I click on user's name two times to go their profile to check specs on mobile too.

Anyway, here's some SS. I used steam's FPS counter since game also broke my RTSS OSD.

And here's a broken 20 FPS. It's still 1440p Max. But I just changed Resolution Scale slider to 50 then back to 100 myself and it got broken.

This is a pre-alfa demo. Optimization is not even in the cards.
 
Lol I remember back in the day when Gothic 3 had a friggin font that would bring AMD cards to their knees because the driver didn't support it properly.

Replacing the in game font .ttf with literally anything else would fix it. Its pretty amazing it was never patched (officially).
