Hi, how's everybody doing on this fine covid quarantine day? So i've been having a problem with my pos computer since i built the damn thing in january. The basis of the problem is that after a random amount of time my gpu will crash with any load over 40% or so. When i crashes it always closes whatever game/program I had focused the time. Additionally, it sometimes crashes both of my displays in addition to the program mentioned earlier. I have noticed a bit of a pattern however. Watching my card monitor in task manager I've noticed every time the card crashes the usage spikes to 100% for a very short time.
I've had this problem since january and i've done a few things to no avail. Firstly I had hoped for an easy fix so I upgraded my gpu from a -Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Ti- to an -Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070- (frankly i just used it as an excuse to upgrade my gpu haha). After no difference and me being lazy i again stupidly upgraded my cpu from a -AMD Ryzen 5 3600- to a -AMD Ryzen 7 3700X-. Again nothing had changed. At this point i consulted the r/techsupport reddit and the only reply suggested my card didn't have enough watts behind it. So again I bought a brand new power supply. I went from a -Corsair TXM Gold 550 W 80+ Gold- to a -EVGA GD (2019) 700 W 80+ Gold-.
I have exhausted all my dum dum brains ideas and would love it if any of you guys could help me with my year long $2000 journey.i have filled out the specs list and i will write them here if requested. Thank you very much
