My goggle-fu is failing me, is there a database out there listing the physical size of GPU's so you easily can find what is the fastest card that can fit a specific space?

Edit: I found that pcpartpicker.com can sort on card length so that will do for now.

how about our gpu database? it lists the dimensions, but you cant filter by length

Maybe that would be a good new filter?

Ok, I missed that you can click in to each card type and see all makes/versions of that type. As you say the size is listed there but you can't sort on it.

On the partpicker website I could pick all the Nvidia/AMD cards of interest and then sort by size which was really helpful as I found a few suitable makes/models I had missed while researching so something like that would be handy to have in your database as well. You got the data, just need a noob friendly way of displaying it.

Sounds like a feature worth adding.

For example, in 2009, I bought my Cooler Master HAF 922 case as I wanted to ensure that it could take long graphics cards without a problem. And it has until in 2020, I bought my current card, an MSI RTX 2080 SUPER Gaming X Trio. This barely fits in the case due to its length and needs to be eased in at a slight angle to avoid snagging on the drive bays. I never thought I'd see that day with this case, hence I think that filtering by length would be a useful feature to avoid getting caught out.

Check
to see if it suits you (you can select Length, Width and Height amongst others)

Sort of on topic here, but how about adding the GPU weight.

I see in the reviews you weigh the cards, but I don't see the weight mentioned in the GPU database. I know not all cards weigh the same (different cooling solutions and all), but perhaps you could just post the weight of the reference models?

I've had a few instances in the past I had to dig around for the weight of some GPUs....I thought maybe the GPU database would have them listed, but I didn't see them.

I know that MSI routinely lists their cards' weights (both bare and packaged) in their respective specs pages such as this one for the 3080 Gaming Z Trio, but I don't think any other AIB partners follow that practice in full. ASRock does list a "net weight" for some of their newer 6x50 cards, but not their 6x00 predecessors.

Threadsurrection: I'm finding myself in the same GPU boat. Modern GPU cards have undergone a growth spurt so for anyone looking to keep their existing case it is necessary to know the card's envelope dimensions. Like others, I've discovered that my case will not fit a large new card due to limited length space, i.e., existing radiator and fans. The information that I have not been able to find are the board dimensions once all the cooling hardware is removed in preparation for adding a waterblock. I know this shrinks the length but by how much for any given combination of GPU/waterblock? It's unknown to me. Is such GPU card dimension data available somewhere?

Check the GPU database, some information is listed there. Let's say you were looking at getting a RTX 4070 Ti and you were curious if the ASUS TUF Gaming would fit in your case, see image below:

TPU does list some info under the "Other Changes" column. If the card also happens to be one that they reviewed, you can find a little more detail on the "Pictures & Teardown" page of the review - as you can see here for the ASUS TUF 4070Ti review.

You clearly won't find all this info in one place simply due to the amount of different GPUs out there, but some can be found here on TPU in the GPU database and especially if a specific card has been reviewed.

Other then that, you can try a manufacturer's website to see if they list dimensions/weights of a GPU.

PC Part picker gives you the slot sizes.
