Firstly, I'd like to say merry christmas to all, whether it has or hasn't come you yet:)

So as recommended, I recently sold my 7990 (I really only play World of Warcraft and AMD blows with WoW) and am looking at purchasing a new GPU.

I really would like to move to Nvidia as I find crossfire the most painful thing in the world for playing WoW. That and I would get around 50 FPS on fair settings with my 7990 and 7970 running together. I guess the game is too old for crossfire.

I have 3 1080p monitors; two at 60hz and one at 120. I am willing to spent up to $1100 and would like to purchase it from www.ple.com.au - I do not however mind buying something from an online Australian store.

Here is what I have to choose from - http://ple.com.au/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryId=467

I guess that I am really looking for the best card I can get for under $1100, rather than what I simply need (The intention is for it to be overkill xD) I also don't really care about any of the included games, I would honestly just give them away or try to sell them.

Cheers :D

for WoW?

I happen to have a 7900GS that will run it perfect im only selling it for 1k ill pay shipping

Pretty sure WoW will play on any old crappy GPU. Most power for WoW comes from a good processor. Anything mid-high will do for WoW. I know you want overkill, but literally any GPU will run it on high settings. I ran WoW on a 144hz monitor on a stock 780 on ultra...

Oh, it's Christmas day here as of like 2 hours ago. happy days and stuff.

EDIT: Maybe buy a 780ti if money is a non-issue. Most powerful single processor, and it isn't noisy, and is suitably overkill. No issues with xfire or sli.

What would you say is the best 780? would it be the evga superclocked 780 ti?

And yeah, WoW is such an old game. For whatever reason though, my 7990 ran it at like 40 fps on fair settings.

Sorry ninja edited above, 780ti would be cool, EVGA would be my choice if overclocking. And they look kinda sexy.
If you play fullscreen windowed mode, then your 7990 is going to be half as powerful, because WoW breaks crossfire entirely in windowed mode.

Well my 3770k is at 4.7ghz, and my memory 2400mhz. When I had my 7990 and 7970 runnning wow, I honestly got higher FPS on my 2006 macbook. It would lag so bad that I would literally not be able to play.

EDIT: And that was in Fullscreen mode.

I don't think WoW likes crossfire all that much, when I ran it on dual 7950's it ran like ass. I had better luck with single GPU's.

Yeah I think the game is too old for it.
