Gpu power limit reached

hi there.

i have a problem an need some help, i hope someone can help me.

when my graphic card is in full load the GPU shark shows me a warning saying
GPU power limit reached
GPU voltage limit reached
GPU overvoltage litit reached

can someone tell what could be causing such a problem.

It's simple don't use Furmark. If your trying to test an overclock use Unigine Heaven or 3D mark.

Many people will tell you to not use Furmark . Let me be the first. EDIT: dammit Buildzoid!

Furmark doesn't test stability as such, more it just pulls as much power as is possible.

Run some standard tests, 3Dmark, Heaven, Valley etc and watch the output on gpu-z or afterburner.

Furmark bad....

It's not a problem. Kepler cards have a Max limit. You're simply being told your card has reached that limit.
Monitor your card with GPU-z and run Heaven in window mode. If you watch the log on GPU-z you'll see core speed fluctuations, that's the Kepler limits.

If your temperatures are safe and the cards not over throttling, you have nothing to worry about.

but when i do run a Benchmark and ist finished after a close the program i hear a weird noise coming from the Card and that worry me, i was thinkink if that have something to do with the power supply.

What weird noise? A ringing? That is coil whine and can be normal.

About the only way to get past that power limit is to flash to another or modify the bios... unless you are overclocking, its not worth the risk to me.
