GPU Test System 2025 Games Selection

You should include some MMOs , like WOW , at least for the CPU benchmarks, you can use the PTR for an easy and more consistent benchmark , i know its a bit tricky but worth a shot.
nigh-impossible to benchmark properly even w/o all the constant updating

Looks like a pretty good list. Including FF16 would be a nice thing as well as it's in the possible options.

List looks pretty good! Just wanted to voice support for the current choices, especially Northlight, Decima, and Insomniac engine games as I’m excited to see upcoming releases on those as well.

There was a guy who used to benchmark WoW by flying from one point to another, but I think he stopped doing that about a year ago but i had a good idea how good was a CPU for the game.

Patches don't typically change the game's performance much unless there's a major update. On the PTR, you can get some decent benchmarks since there are fewer players (it's mostly empty). If you're flying a route three times and averaging the results, you can get a decent benchmark for CPUs (not perfect but ok).

I know many people who use their computers like I do: they mostly play one MMO (usually WoW), occasionally try a new game for a few hours, and use the PC for work the rest of the time.

that's a worse than useless benchmark, theres little to no load on the game engine - you need to benchmark something heavy, ie a full blown raid or big battleground/wpvp scenario and that simply cannot be reliably recreated, if at all

I don’t totally agree with that. You have a point, but I'm not really focused on how much FPS a CPU will give in MMOs. What I'm mostly interested in is how it compares to others (let’s say my current CPU).

You can see this, for example, with the 5800X3D. This guy used to do more benchmarks on WoW, but he stopped. His benchmarks were pretty relevant if I wanted to buy a CPU for WoW (and I think we can extrapolate how some other MMOs would perform as well based on this).

Yup, that's the plan exactly
