GPU-Z 0.4.0 Increases Fan Speed GTX285

I've noticed since installing my Asus GTX285 whenever I open GPU-Z 0.4.0 the fan will kick up to 75% and holds at 71-76% regardless of the temp of the video card. I close GPU-Z and the fan will slowly ramp back down to it's normal temperature-controlled speeds.

I do not experience this with my EVGA GTX 260 or 8800GTS.

I do have the Asus GamerOSD and SmartDoctor installed, but not running.

It's not a problem really, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
