Gpu-Z failed to create tray icon

Been using gpu-z for years now. All of sudden i started getting this failed to create tray icon when starting up pc. I can usually click ok and gpu z finishes loading and then i minimize. It seems to work, but on next boot same thing again.

I have updated GPU drivers, windows up to date, uninstall restart reinstall same thing on next restart. Am i missing something to fix this issue? any suggestions greatly appreciated.

This can rarely happen if Explorer is slow to create the systray area, but it shouldn't happen on every restart.

Is your system particularly slow or fast? Anything makes it special?

amd ryzen 5600x, nvidia 2080, 32gb memory, decently fast. just odd it just started.
