Graphic Card problem (noob)

Well, overpriced is like anything more than $12 USD. That would be like ~$15 where you are. But that is also the higher end stuff like Arctic Silver 5. Usually Circuit City carries Antec brand stuff.

And yes, that's degraded. 75% of fresh stock paste is usually little thicker than toothpaste.

yup looks like its time for an upgrade...
agp? maybe a 2600xt in agp flavor...

2600XT is probly overkill. I wonder what the rest of his specs are?

O/T: Hat, you still thinking about getting a 2nd GTS?

Possibly easiest way is to download CPU-z from www.cpuid.com and then post some screenshots of all the tabs.

alright ill get on that tmm. i gotta get to sleeep. shcool in th am. Thanks alot you guys, been alot of help.

Would his Geforce 2 even have a temp sensor?

I think not.

my guess the card is overheating.
make sure the fun is working. clean the dust out of the fan and heatsink. you can also try to take off the stick from the fan and put some machinery oil in it (sawing machine oil is the best)

Geforce 2 cards do not have temp sensors. As has been said, a new grease job and making sure the fan spins are the best things to check to make sure its not overheating - that said, the card is so old it may have just died.
I had a geforce 4 Ti die with a green dot problem, after a few days of it the screen turned a pink/green combo and never showed windows again.
