I feel like I've tried everything. AV won't pick anything up, Malwarebytes doesn't pick anything up, I've looked in Process Explorer and it seems like nothing is running my GPU at all. What else can I do? I turn on my computer and think it's fixed for the first 10-15 minutes and then while browsing the internet it'll sky rocket to about 90-98% load in seconds causing my card to reach 80 degrees. Please help, I've been trying to figure this out for days...thanks in advance.

What's running? Run a virus scan

Is it actually loading up? Or is it just running at the boost clocks? Look at GPUz sensors tab.

Also....Check your NVIDIA control panel. Make sure your power management mode setting is set to "adaptive" and not "prefer maximum performance".

Checked control panel, it is set to adaptive. GPUz sensors tab? I'm really not good at this stuff and this has been stressing me out the past 2 days. Also I've ran multiple virus scans and nothing has come up.

Have had same issue with Razer Synapse causing GPU to run 90% the whole time , as Vellinious states had to adjust Application in Nvidia control panel and set to adaptive .
May have to manually add the software cause the issue.

Use Process Explorer or Process Hacker to check with program is running 100%(gpu) then adjust to adaptive

"If not virus related "

Download GPUz. At the top, there are tabs...click on the sensors tab. Stretch it out a bit, left to right by grabbing the edge, and then run a benchmark. Firestrike Ultra, Valley or Heaven works fine.... Looks like this:

Really, for your question, you just need to open up the sensors tab and see if your GPU is actually loading up. Then we can figure out what's maybe causing it....

Do you have installed some bitcoin mining crapware downloaded from torrent?

I am out right now but as soon as I get home I will try all of this and post an update. Are the bit miners usually picked up from AV's and MB?
