It might help to tell us exactly what mmorpg, fps and rts games you are talking about!?!
Also, the 9250 series is a DX 8 only video card and that would make quite a few more modern games unplayable I would believe... Even games as old as Battlefield 2 will not run on a PCI video card.

go for a geforce 6600 card or a radion x16xx card, i play counter strike source with a 6600 card on full settings 1024x760 resolution with no probs at all.

Thank you for bringing up the Geforce 6600. You may be able to pickup a 6200 and unlock the extra pps to 8, making it a 6600 effectively.

Last time I checked, there were no Geforce 6600 or 6800 PCI cards...
For what he mentioned that he plays, a Geforce 6200 256MB PCI video card or an X1550 256MB PCI video card will do him just fine. The X1550 is probably going to be king of the hill when it comes to PCI bus video cards, afik.

For $70, you're not gonna get much of anything. If you can scrape up another $30, you can get an X1550.

PCI is the same slot you would put a sound card in. Iirc, most of the Dimensions don't have an AGP or PCIe slot.

He should specify....by just stating PCI it doesn't really lead us to nowhere... And the dimension models came out way before even there's such thing as PCI graphics card. Meaning AGP or PCI-E.

What do you mean that they came out before PCI graphics cards? PCI came first, then AGP, then PCI-E... He said PCI that leads me to believe he has PCI, therefore he has a need for a PCI graphics card. People have been saying that the dimensions only have PCI slots anyway.

people would be incorrect in saying all dell Dimensions only have PCI slots because i own 2 newer Dell Dimension system both with pcie and have owned older Dell dimension systems with agp but taking into account the poster has said pci i guess we should take their word on that.
