GreedFall is a first-person roleplaying game that reminds of Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Skyrim with some Assassin's Creed sprinkled on top. What makes this game stand out is its well-crafted story and non-linear gameplay. We take GreedFall for a spin with 23 graphics cards in 1080p, 1440p, and 4K Ultra HD.

Looks solid. Might be worth getting on some sale.

Thanks for the review!

Looks like an interesting game that hasn't even hit my radar till now, gotta check it out.

Thanks for reviewing a title that doesn't have the game dev and the GPU makers working closely.

Out of the box experience could be improved for AMD.

ohh those hairs/hands ....and this texture?

Interesting memory usage. I have been seeing well into the 7G territory using 3440x1440 and not ultra.

I have been noticing problems with hair rendering on your character.

For those with SLI setup. The sli bits that works for me 0x080020F1
SLI_PREDEFINED_GPU_COUNT_DX10_FOUR
SLI_PREDEFINED_MODE_DX10_FORCE_AFR
SSAO=Disabled
Anti-Aliasing=Disabled
Getting 85fps min - 130+fps max in 4K.

Interesting that the AMD cards fall behind as the resolution increases, the opposite of what usually happens.

Low quality post by I'm here to throw

No. Looks closely you will see the old GCN based cards just does that: pulls forward when resolution increase. Simply because they have way more computing power

Not sure about Navi though.

Glad I bought this game. Really fun

Had judged too early looking at the studio making this. Seems they actually got some decent budget now... and there is a pretty deep game that's come out of it.

Definitely checking this out... once they've pushed a half dozen patches to fix all the nuisances.

I have heard it said from artists that hands are the most difficult to paint. It's true for video games as well I think.

I'm enjoying the game, moderately so, it's true. It's like a Dragon Age mashup, with better combat and worse world design with lots of running and backtracking. I had no big expectations, but I'm not regretting getting the game at all. It runs ranging from very well/above 100fps on Ultra 1080p, to 45-55 fps in some select areas - it might be the fog or sun rays that collapse the performance, usually in open spaces. Some animal "fur" is also problematic. It's can be quite CPU hungry, I've seen the 8700K spiking to around 90%.
Other than this, the game pissed off "journalists" at Kotaku and some other outlets because of "insensitive" treatment of colonialism (which is not true, the game gives you the opportunity to right some wrongs and help the native population, but these days that gets described as "white man's burden" type of evil, so really there's just no escaping it). This is a bonus to me, as I guess I remained stuck in the past where we had Barrens chat and games tailored to the geeks and nerds from the evil West. Fatal condition, I know.
Recommended.

So far, the game is at best good and at worst average but I haven't made it out of the opening area yet.

To somewhat quote a movie: People can't handle the truth.

The fact remains that bad things have happened throughout history by pretty much every major power. It annoys me that people can't see this game for what it is. A work of fiction based on real events with the added twist that players can pseudo right wrongs of the past. Now, I haven't gotten that far so maybe the dev added some embellishments...who knows.
