GTX 1660 Ti not working properly

Hello everyone!
I'm getting around 1700 3D Graphics score in PassMark while my card (Geforce GTX 1660) should get over 10 000. I see very low fps in games aswell (Witcher 3 - around 20 fps on very low settings while I should get +60 on ultra). I tried many different drivers (newest, oldest, the one manufacturer recommends), I'm plugged in, performance mode on, power - high performance, no undervolting were done. My laptop: Lenovo Legion Y540.

Anyone have any idea what I can do? I would love to try something, I feel lost. Have a good day!

Easy answer. Buy r5 3400g. Playing right now gf on ryzen 5 3400g on full hd with texture and detail to high everything else on low or off and fps is from 32-41. iGPU > GTX 1660.

What cpu do you have? Maybe it is running on iGPU?

You have gtx 1660 or gtx 1660 ti? In title mentioned 1660 ti but in comment 1660.

Maybe try a bios update, because it looks like games aren't utilizing the dGPU. If this is a brand new laptop, consider a RMA.

Buying a 3400g, which is weaker than a 1660(Ti) for GPU performance, is really not good advice. OP wants to fix their card, not replace it.

@Revold Check which GPU your laptop is using and if it's the GTX, check what the clocks are.

If you didnt get my joke... thats sad.

I doubt OP wants jokes. Pretty sure he wants his hardware to work.

I do have GTX 1660 Ti. CPU: i7-9750HF (it's a version without integrated graphics).

@Colddecked
I will try BIOS update, although I'm pretty sure I updated it recently. It's a new laptop, I may RMA it, although considering length of time it gets them to send me a new one, I hoped I could solve it on my own (or with your help :D).

@Toothless
It's using GPU (I do not have integrated graphics), GPU clock: 300 Mhz, memory clock: 405 Mhz (according to MSI Afterburner, if I'm reading it correctly (on the main screen)).

Thanks for all the answers already! <3

What processor is it exactly? If it's Intel most likely has an iGPU that it switches to when not gaming.

Same issue plugged in versus on battery?
I was always trying plugged in version. I may try battery version benchmark if you want, I feel I will get less points but I can try.
EDIT: I got 1569 while on battery, so slightly less score.
@Colddecked
I confirm I have newest version of BIOS.

Install a fresh driver.

Do you happen to have MSI Afterburner installed to possibly force clocks, or a different software? Just trying to rule out as many variables as possible.

I've installed MSI Afterburner, didn't use it but now when I look I found someting interesting. My core clock shows only 300 Mhz, while Memory Clock: around 6000 Mhz if I've checked correctly. Isn't Clock Core speed too low?

Should be hitting at minimum the stock speeds of your chip. Are you able to manually set it?

I'm not sure what speed that would be. May you check for my card: Geforce GTX 1660 Ti (laptop, does it matter?), so I won't overdo it?

Try 1000mhz to start. I'll see if I can check it in between projects at work when I get a hot second.

300 while at desktop ?, well thats most likley normal, how about when your playing a game.

Download GPU-Z and check those details.

I'm getting the same amount in games.

Log in attached files. I've run Witcher 3 (when memory clock got up to 1500), core 300 Mhz all the way.

It looks like I should have at least 1445 clock speed, I cannot increase it via Afterburner.

EDIT: My GPU temperature is around 50 degree Celcius.

CPU: i7-9750HF. It doesn't have iGPU.

So only the i7-9750H has iGPU ?.

Tried reinstalling the motherboard drivers ?. or even any drivers Lenovo supply.

Maybe get in touch with Lenovo about it.

You have a spare monitor around and try that, just a thought.

You mean plugging spare monitor to the laptop? Hmm, I may try it I got one.
Yes, only "H" version has iGPU.
I couldn't find motherboard drivers to install neither on lenovo site nor on the internet unfortunately :/
I will try to get in touch with them.

EDIT: Plugging spare monitor did not work, unfortunately.
Anyone have some different idea? Would love to try someting, cheers, happy new year!
