gtx 970- no fan control with msi afterburner

are there other programs to try?

no issue with rx 590 on other pc. this 970 was given to me by a friend. it works fine. but I cant up the speed of the fans. also, 2 of the fans didnt want to spin on boot so had to give them a spin to get them moving. thinking fans were bad I ordered a trio set (gigabyte) from asia and I dont think they are oem but they fit in. now 1 of the fans doesnt spin at all, but the other 2 spin fine, but no control over them.

ran furmark and got up to around 80 degrees but after a few minutes I stopped the test.

im not worried now as its still cool weather outside but the brutal blistering summer will really stress the hell out of gear.

for some cards fan control wont work, no matter the sw.
maybe get an arctic cooler replacement online, they work fine with things like AB.

i would still check with shops in your area/online, as even new, those usually cost less than a used gpu.
