GTX Titan Z or Titan X Pascal?

The only reason to pick the Z is for FP64 work

That, or some sort of ultimate Windows XP retro build. Maxwell driver support for XP was very limited, in a similar fashion to Ampere support on Windows 8.1. Only earlier drivers work and I believe it's limited to the GTX 960 only, though it was possible to run it on the 980 with inf mod back then.

Not a good idea to use it with WinXP. 32-bit memory limitations will hamper the graphics card's usable RAM, as well as usable system RAM.

I’m thinking of trying a gtx 280 and a 680i for the ultimate xp build

I’d go with the titan xp as it’s still a good rasterizing gaming card in 1080p-1440p. Titan Z that thing needs sli to fully function, and sli been dead for awhile
