What is the best program for Hard Drive defragmenting?

use windows

use the windows defrag program

start>>>programs>>>accesories>>>>system tools>>>>disk defragment:D this is for all windows operating systems.

Perfect Disc is the best app I've tried. Much faster & offers more options then does Windows.

 I know that, I wanted an alternative. Thanks though, it's hard to tell what other people don't know ;)

Diskeeper is an awesome program. You can set it to run on a schedule. Defrag the pagefile. Pad the MFT. Do boot time defrags. I've used it for years now and love it.

Thanks guys I'm trying out the demos of those programs now.

I second that H0ser81 .... use Diskeeper as well

Diskeeper is the best. ;) I use it too.

diskeeper here! :toast:

I'll join the diskeeper clan - I tried to run SiSoftware Sandra's HD benchmark but it kept telling me the drive was too fragmented, even after using the windows defrag and the Norton defrag. But once I'd used diskeeper it ran fine. Also diskeeper has the best functionality and definately looks best.
