HD5850 and HD5830 Crossfire

hi,

I just got an XFX HD5830 and when i'm pairing it with my 5850, i am getting half the performance of my 5850 and some random crashes.

Can anyone help pls? I'm using 10.10

NFS Hot Pursuit :
55FPS HD5850
21FPS HD5850 + HD5830

ohh and btw, does it makes any difference if i'm using 1 or 2 crossfire bridges?

do you have the Crossfire Profiles installed?

1 Crossfire bridge is all you need. Have you tried switching the PCI-e slots the cards are installed in?

First of all, NFS HT doesn't support multi gpu, and you get half the performance when you enable sli or crossfire. I keep my sli disabled to play at 60 fps. Have you tested other games ?

It's best to use two bridges however I'm not even sure that you can CrossFire a 5830 with a 5850. 5830's aren't even listed on the latest CrossFire compatability chart.
