I have a HIS HD7790 1gb card and am trying some overclocking.

It seems 99% of reviews of the card seem to overclock the card to 1200 core and 1600 mem from 1000 core and 1500 mem.

Ive managed to get the core to 1075 which is what factory OC cards run at with 1600 mem. However anything more on the core seems to just crash the driver. Im using the Overdrive feature in the AMD drivers.

Anybody had any luck with this card? All the reviews seems to state 1200/1600 is an easy overclock....

first for oc, you may get different result since different chip may give you different performance on oc
many things could affect your oc. from the card, system, voltage etc
have you tried to raise the voltage little bit?

Thanks for the reply.

I believe the voltage is locked on these cards. So cam't up ot at all.

Guess it could be a card that just don't overclock well?
