long time ago I used to remove the heatspreader in the amd k6 in order to oc it (I obtained better results without HS)
I understood that it allow to cool the pcb (of the chip) and other components, ressistances and so... where the core is conected, is it correct?
The question is, when is it good to remove the heatspreader?
what about in the nvidia 8800?
is there any comparison of gpu/cpu with and without heatspreader?
