Just some info...

AMD Radeon HD 7570, maybe, if, that is what it came with and has not been replaced.

If that's what this guy has....for the cost of an HDMI cable it's one helluva an upgrade.

But before that I'd check with GPU-Z...

The reason I think an HDMI will solve this is because you have a Video card installed.
By default your Graphics priority is set to AUTO in the BIOS which is something that is good.
When you boot into Windows it loads a driver for your Intel HD2000 graphics as well as your AMD/ATI Graphics card.
The likely reason you are getting the "
atikmpag.sys
" error is because the driver is not responding because no connection is present.
It's a glitch..
Good news is whatever is installed is likely better than the Intel HD2000 graphics by a lot...

Since he is using the igp-it might be a good idea to make sure the fan still rotates on the gpu and remove old drivers and install fresh ones for it.

Alex - find out what graphics card you have, either by physically looking, or by looking in the device manager. Go to AMD site and download the appropriate drivers.

Uninstall the AMD graphics drivers that are currently broken, download DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller), reboot into safe mode and let it scrub any trace of the old drivers. Reboot.

Now, plug the monitor in with a HDMI cable, plugged into the discreet graphics card, install drivers. Fingers crossed you should now be sorted.
