just that what you said ( run the "gpgpu benchmark" from aida64 on this card.
If you get higher value in "memory copy" than what gpu-z calculated, then everything is fine)

didn't really make sense, in my shot i have 261131MB/s in aida and in gpuz 336 GB/s,a much lower score in aida, thats all :)
 
It was meant for OP and his specific problem of misreported bitwidth.
Measured throughput cannot exceed theoretical one - his result proves that readout of 96bit is just wrong.
