Help classify xeon cpus

Hey there!

Hope someone can help... I am trying to build a datasheet with all xeon cpus and correlate them with desktop and workstation application cpus.

Found some online but they are either specific to a gen-family or dated/incomplete, the main focus would be to catalog and organize between families-generations, process node and released year. I am having a hard time to understand since the nomenclature doesn't help and it is difficult to find info even at intel`s website... Of course, more data is welcome like performance class/rank, core count, clock, cache, tdp, mem support/lanes and on.

Some examples:

Thanks a ton! that intel link really helped, was basing mostly on wikipedia.

Apparently intel website still doesn't show all cpus organized by family, for example, there's some models on wikipedia list that doesn't show there unless searched in ARK database, also some cpus are blocked and need login credentials to see full specs.

I still don't quite understand their arc families and generation or also know as formerly-code names /based architectures, for example, by launch dates, they can launch an older generation in a new series... its confusing. By cross-referring w wikipedia I got something like this, does anyone have more insight if its correct or can add to it?

Wikipedia orderBased onProcessFormerly?
1P6180 nmCascades
2NetBurst90 nm ; 130 nmCranford ; Prestonia
3Pentium M (Yonah)65 nmSossaman
4Core45 nmDunnington ; Conroe ; Wolfdale ; Harpertown
5Nehalem32 nmWestmere EX
6Sandy Bridge32 nmSandy Bridge EP
7Ivy Bridge22 nmGladden
8Haswell22 nm
9Broadwell14 nm
10Skylake14 nm
11Kaby Lake14 nm
12Coffee Lake14 nm
13Cascade Lake14 nm
14Comet Lake14 nm
15Cooper Lake14 nm
16Ice Lake10 nm
17Rocket Lake14 nm
18Tiger Lake10 nm SuperFin
19Raptor LakeIntel 7
20Sapphire RapidsIntel 7
21Emerald RapidsIntel 7
22Granite RapidsIntel 3

Cpu world seems great to check about their respective performance but I couldn't find a complete table listing all of them, only selecting two and compare.

It seems some Intel Xeon processors were made to order and do not exist in the ark. Such as E5-2696 v3 which is fairly common or the exotic E5-1691 v3 which I've never seen reported other than as an on paper product. So best to use other databases too if wanting to cover all.

Perhaps the TPU database is more inline with your needs? Can use the filter function such as 'generation' for Xeon lists.

Yeah intel website is weird to navigate, some products are found easily but others just seem to not be listed or are very well hidden.

TPU does help, but their list doesn't go too far, apparently brings only first 50x hits.

I found passmark, most complete until now, there's basic single /multicore performance and even dual /quad cpus configs:

One thing still missing (I am doing manually by cross-reference but its a lot of work) is a complete list with all intel process nodes/codenames/architectures organized by released year containing all cpus families /applications ie xeon-mobile-desktop etc.
