Hello. Hope you all will be doing well. I am really confused about ram memory because I am trying to buy a Xeon E3-1245v3 cpu so I guess you can also use ECC memory right? The actual question is the shop seller told me different prices about the ram as they say if a Ram has written "R" it will be cheap because it is non-ecc and the ram with "U" on it will be more cheaper but he told me about registered and unbuffered rams but I don't remember well. And he said rams with "E" on it are Ecc memory and it is most expensive in all 3 of these ram. Kindly help me about what are the real differences and what will it help me in future as I am actually building pc for playing games. Due to high prices I can only build this one sorry for that.
