If you were a shareware version licensee you did, that was an advertised commercial feature on thaiphoon burner, and it blanked ddr5 spds on a few. Shortly after those first reports the program vanished from the usual official source so yeah. I'd be careful actually, the .com distributing it now is not the authors old site and gives me malware vibes (this is just best guess because I do not have hashes to compare and virustotals are useless on programs like this).

I was a shareware licensee across the transition period, FWIW.
So you're saying if I DL it from Softpedia I'll get Malware? Or at their site and when scanned with windows defender shows no problems? I spelled Thaiphoon Burner wrong, I just realized that. doh.

So far, it's read every single stick of RAM I've installed. For the future memory chips and ddr revisions, it will be a useless program no doubt.

But, at least it's something still for some people out there. I've had no issues with anything you've mentioned. Oh no, I downloaded a free program. look out FBI!! lol

No, the thaiphooonburner.com site that comes up as the first result is the suspect one. And I don't KNOW that its malware, just gives me those vibes. Could be completely wrong.

Hey the FBI isn't what I'd worry about there but if it works for you, then good. Nothing further to say.

I was kidding around, that's why I put lol after the FBI comment. I cannot elaborate sarcasm any better than that with words on a screen unfortunately.

There's enough copies of the tool floating around that if their site was gone today, would have no issues finding a clean copy.

In order for Thai-B to properly read DDR5, SPD write enable must be enabled. Maybe some sticks won't show anything, maybe some will look incorrect. That's the beauty of any software ever written for anything. Some people just get let down, and it happens.

Obviously, there are other ways to figure out what ICs are installed to the PCB. The nice thing about Taiphoon burner, which is great for ddr4 systems, is to see the PCB revision. Where if you where using a set of ddr4 samsung b-die, perhaps you might want to know if it's A0 or A1 PCB which typically OC better than A2 PCB sticks.

I love all of my pairs of B-Die, I will hoard them for the rest of my life lol.. unless I can get like 6 or 7 bills for my 3200C14 sticks.. probably not going to happen so they can get buried with me.. or committed to the flames.. one or the other..

I moved on. Sent the last kit I had to Scotty. He is now enjoying Trident Z 4267mhz CL19 kit. But is A2 revision so not great at 4000mhz CL12-12-12, I think he did get somewhat close, but they just won't do it. And there's no point trying to kill the sticks, when they'll happily do 4600mhz on the stock timings at much lower than 1.80v he probably needs to use to accomplish CL12 in the first place. So not bad, but not a great set. Had 2 other sets standard 3600mhz CL16-16-16-36 that cranked 4000mhz No problem CL14-14-14. Last set I gave to my brother.

But have seen people do very far and amazing things with that old B-die. definately a keeper if you have some. :)

My Royals were benched a few times at 4200 flat 14s with all the voltage the board had lol.. 1.85 I think.. my Black and Whites are ok too, just cant go as tight, and I have a pair that was donated to my son, they are ok too.. I think they might be older I would have to check..

This is what I'm currently at, and it's fully stable. Any idea why my latency is that high? Shouldn't it be below 50s? TIA

Increase the cache (ring) frequency from 4.5ghz to 4.8ghz and see if that helps.

It's already at 4.8. It keeps on jumping between 4.2 and 4.8 even though the ring down bin is disabled and the min and max cache ratio is set to 4.8 in the BIOS. (Maybe the Intel boost algorithm is messing with it.)

No, it should stay. Try windows performance mode setting?
