Help needed! Buying Radeon hd 5570.

Hello folks,
I am looking to buy a new graphic card. My budget is around US$50-60.
My first choice is Radeon hd 5570 and second choice is Radeon hd 6570. The latter one is US$15 costlier.

Please suggest me some good entry level graphic card. I am from India and most graphic cards are very costly here compared to other countries.

My pc specs are -

Intel Dual Core E2180 @2ghz

3 gb RAM

Monitor - 1024x768 (pretty low)

450 Watt PSU (COMPANY UNKNOWN)

motherboard - MSI

I know my CPU is pretty old and not powerful at all but please help me. I intent to play fifa 14 and other games with compromising graphics now being a very big problem.

Try and get either an R7 240 or an R7 250, they will be better for you in the long run than those and the price should still be within your budget for at least the 240 model. It will also out perform both the cards you listed (Not by much, but everything matters at that range).

Both the cards you have listed are certainly out of my budget, atleast here in India, by a very big margin.

Thank you for the advice. I did think about it but very soon my final year is going to start and I won't be able to spend much time playing... So I want to buy something in next 2 days or so.

Can you guys tell me if the cards I have listed ( hd 5570, hd 6570) are compatible with my cpu and psu. And will my CPU bottleneck the gpu?
Also is there anything else I need to know before I buy something in my budget?

Yuor cpu wont bottleneck. Also those are pretty low end parts...

You will not bottleneck and it will work with your machine. The parts however are on the very low end and may not deilver the performance your expecting even at that resolution on Fifa 14.

I thought the R7 240 in your area was around your budget?

can you buy a used graphics card instead like a Radeon 6850? Ebay price is around $50-70 here in USA, idk about India but take a look?

Yes R7240 is around 15 bucks more. Anyway I will see if I can get that. If I do buy that one, will it be compatible with my motherboard (link given above) and the PSU?
The card seems pretty solid by the looks.
Will it work without any problems?

Thank you for replying. No, here in India people don't usually have a mentality of selling things off for cheap and rather they keep it with themselves. I did though checkout all sites for second hand cards.

Anything on the side your looking on will work fine as far as I can tell based on motherboard and PSU. The only thing you would have to worry about is if you have a 6pin connector if you go higher than what your looking at or that has been suggested. But the HD 5570, 6570, R7 240, or R7 250 will work no questions asked. But im with Vario, if you can find something used in that price range thats a higher model, I would definitely go that route.

If thats a peg 16x slot yes your board will support all the cards we mentioned

Go find the motherboard manual on the board makers site. Peg 16x is Pci Express Graphics 16x slot (PciE16x) that long white slot

on another note upgrade the psu to a 650 watt
