Hi people, need your help with with undervolting my second hand DELL XPS 15 9570. Rather than jumping straight into it I thought it would be best to ask first and get to know a bit more ;)
Firstly. I will mostly use my laptop for school/university work. There´s some pretty hefty CAD apps that we need to use and I´d just hate rapid heating and fan noise. I´ll also play a bit, but not games that require alot.

1) I am aware DELL fucked us up and removed the option to Undervolt. Having BIOS 1.27 Version I have to downgrade to atleast 1.15 ( I have read), but is downgrading BIOS dangerous? Does it affect programs/apps?

2) When all is set with BIOS versions and I can start using Throttlestop - which offset voltage do I put? Is there a like a standard/safe/best offset voltage which is good for 8750H?
I am not much for stressing/testing/overloading the system (laziness).
And just to be 100% I change the offset voltage in both CPU Cache and CPU Core right?
VBS is not running

3) I read that disabling or enabling Speed Shift EPP doesn´t really do much that noticeably. So just ignore it?

4) I also saw somewhere that configuring the MSI Afterburner can help with the DELL problems (fan/heat) aswell. My laptop has the GeForce GTX 1050 TI max Q - where do I set the nodes on the Voltage Curve?? I´ve seen some say 900 and others 1500.

Are there any more configurations, that aren´t extremely difficult that I could apply? It´s my first time really looking into stuff like this ://

Here are pictures of my FIVR and TPL windows:

Just realized I cant Unlock Adjustable Voltage, I am gonna attempt to follow https://brendangreenley.com/undervo...hermals-battery-life-and-speed/#cpu-undervolt. (FAILED), coudlnt access an important link within the guide.

Thank you for reading and helping

Ok, followed a guide and got some help and finally made it work. I have it undervolted but fan still "randomly" turns on and turns off

I am not sure how to fix Dell's poorly programmed fan. I would try using different BIOS versions. Perhaps there is a version available that does not have an irritating fan speed profile.

Can you post an updated screenshot of the FIVR and TPL windows? Most 8750H owners have the CPU cache offset set to about -125 mV and the core is somewhere around -175 mV. Many guides tell you that these two offset voltages need to be set equal to each other but that has proven to be not true. Cinebench is a good test when comparing different offset voltages.

Yessir! Temperatures seem fine. But 10 degrees hotter when laptop is on my stomach lol...
