hey guys do you ever heard anything about enlight psu and how it perform with other brand

i'm considering their 500 watt psu, because in here (in indonesia), their psu is the cheapest one, i can found.

can you guys give me other alternative, but not cost to much ;)

well i wouldn't know what is available in indonesia so its hard to recommend anything to you. Antec make some good lower cost power supplies. so does Thermaltake. and some others. but no use listing them if they might not be available. a few Hiper models.

so far as Enlight i know and found little about them. from what i did find it would seem they are an average quality psu that should serve you ok

here is a psu list which is supposed to be in order of quality. Enlight is a "Tier 4." which isn't terrible. it just says get a Tier 3 brand if possible:

http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/101922.aspx

here is a review of one of their 650w models:

http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews.php?reviewid=623&pageid=1

seems solid enough

and here is the newegg product page for them in case you want to look at some user reviews:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010320058 50001231&name=Enlight

could be better, could be worse, i suppose

Antec I would say is probably the better of the two, if you can find the 500w Antec Earthwatts, I think that model is one of the best Antec offers for those on a budget.

thank's ChromeDome, but you will never belived, in my country enlight psu is realy famous (infact almost every store in here always have enlight psu).

what do you think beter :

or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151035

i'm sorry to bother you, but i'm realy n00b in psu
oh well like i said they aren't rated as "bad" apparently. i think Enlight is probably a safe choice if thats what you get

of the two you linked the specs are very similar, and the quality is also similar. the seasonic has a five year warranty, but right now the Antec Earthwatts is $10 cheaper and offers 100 more watts of power. plus it has a three year warranty

if i were choosing i would pick the Antec for the price and the 100 more watts. i think if they're the same price in your country i still take the Antec. since its a bit more powerful. never know when you might need it. and like dark2099 said if you can find a 500w Earthwatts at a good price, get it. thats my psu. its a good one. since you were looking 500w anyway

Hard to say when we have no idea what you will be running. Any specs?

It's not a good idea to go for the cheapest power supply, seeing as you want to do that from your post.
"this should be a stick or something"
