Help with Bad Company 2 keys!!!

I pre ordered the game and steam gave me two keys,


Battlefield: Bad Company 2 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Battlefield Bad Company 2 promo key xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

"If you received a 'Promo Key', please register this key with EA as well. The 'Promo Key' unlocks additional items in-game"

click redeem code under multiplayer in the main menu is what it says under my key on the pamphlet that came with the pc version

yea like he said, dont worry about it. i ordered it on steam as well and didnt even know i got the promo key until someone asked if i had those weapons then i felt like a idoit
 
I figured it out, but I did type it wrong the first time or two. If the code has "-" in it, they are required and you need to enter them as well. Heads up for others. This applies to either the Redeem code or CD key or both.
 
I hate this online activations, i always feel that i put something wrong and by by 50 bucks!

PS: looking forward to an old school dedicated servers patch for BC2, i dont like this pseudo dedicated servers they implemented. I always have high ping in all games that use this system
 
do you have to enter the - things for the cd key as well as the unlocks code for the guns? cause i just entered the cd key without any - and there are no servers in the lobby thing

Yea same here man, don't sweat it. I couldn't enter my damn code until I figured out I was entering the wrong code!! >:( It took me like 2 hours until I got my pre-order extras :)
 
I had a problem with entering the VIP code on my sons 360. But after usings capital letters and '-' it worked fine :) So your not alone TS, were all idiots together :)
