Help with bios update

So i have a aorus b450 elite motherboard and currently running bios version f40, i want to upgrade to the latest version because i have problems with the current version. Ik how to download it but i think it says its for ryzen 3000
and i have 2000 does that mean if i update to 3000 my 2000 will not work properly? Please help i want to upgrade to f52 if possible.

and in the f40 it says that i have to install EC FW Update Tool (B19.0517.1 or later version) but i was already on f40 when i bought the motherboard.
Do i even need that to download f52? Do i need something else to download? Or i dont need anything to download before updating to f52
please help.

EC FW Update Tool is the software you use to update your bios, download it and run it from windows it will update the motherboard bios, it just wants you to use the latest version, its downloadable from the utility's menu in the Gigabyte download section you linked too. once you have done that you can upgrade to f52.
Upgrading to f52 will enable Ryzen 3 support your Ryzen 2 will still work.
