Help with finding a laptop for a friend.

So my friend asked me to find a good laptop in the price range from 150 euro to 300 since he doesnt know a lot about them. Its moslty for school and maybe a little bit for gaming like roblox, i have found 2 laptops, and i want to know if they are any good for the price. And also i want to know if they supports wireless wifi because where the information is, it says:

I would advise you to try to find a ryzen laptop, something like a 3500U, 3700U you might find them quite cheap.
Jumper is a Chinese brand, they sell very old Celerons that are very very weak.
Or a refurb, I wouldn't buy less than 8GB RAM.

They are ok @SuperCharged148 , it's difficult to find a new laptop for under 300 euro with reasonable performance. Those are old intel double cores, not very powerful, but hey, 200 euro is not much to go by, and with 8GB of RAM he should be ok, if he's patient and he's not trying to run any demanding applications. The same, for the gaming he will be restricted to 15 year old games.

As has been said, there are no good laptops in that price range. One thing that very much surprised me when I was on college campuses when my 3 son's attended was the wide use of Apple offerings . Among folks commutting to school, the iPads are the most common choice I saw ... those living on campus seemed to favor the MacBooks pros. My oldest took a $1800 lappie to school, mainly cause he wanted to game and didn't wanan bring his desktop ... Lappie died before just after the 2 year warranty ended.. He went to school to become a pilot and all the aviation related apps they use are Apple based so he really doesn't have a choice these days.

I argued against, but the other two ... one chose a MacBook P to live in campus and brought their desktop for gaming; the other commuted so just got the smaller / lighter iPad and di his work at home on desktop. They are all still using their Macbooks / iPads after 12, (work) 10 (work) and 5 (grad school) years ... I have windows based lappies I need for AutoCAD which, while great gamers, we usually have to replace after about 4 years.

Keep in mind that the cost of marketing, warehousing, assembly, packaging, shipping, bookkeeping, support, etc is the same for laptops in all price ranges. So if that costs say $200 ... then the difference between a $400 laptop and an $600 laptop is that one has $200 worth of components has components that cost twice as much. The laptop price niche we have been recommending for most college students these days ... one expected to get them thru 4 years is about $950. Unfortunately, laptops custom built to your specs including several China so urced components are subject to a huge tariff where the chinese imports 100% built in China are tariff free. This has added about $100 - $150
