Help with gaming PC? Suggestions needed

Building next summer. Also 9950x3d confirmed for january.

By that, I mean that I will change the list once 9950x3d comes out. I own none of this right now.

Yes about PSU and Gen 4, but i have money to burn. Also I love the rmx shift psu. By stand-in I mean I will change the list once 9950x3d comes out. I have not bought anything yet.

Was going to go 96gb 6800mt, but thought this might be good for speed. 8200mt ram is not too much cheaper, so I could just downclock this a bit.

The optical drive is a peace-of-mind, given that I've had several external ones physically break. If I went 32gb mem I would have to slow down significantly. Does my board have 2x Gen 5 slots? If so, I could get 2. Mousepad is good idea, PCPP doesn't have mousepads.

I mean, I may as well get a overkill PSU now, and keep it for a decade.
I'd build it now use it then upgrade the chip

If you're building in January grab a RTX 50xx, other than that you won't be able to run that RAM speed, low latency 6000 MT kit will be better.

Ti rated ATX 3/3.1 PSU not that Gold 1200 W.

Also the $300 AIO is pointless.

$600 mobo and $300 AIO is easily $500 you could save to have a better GPU.

Only good Razer keyboards are the optical ones, but I would go with Wooting instead for HE.

The Superlight 2 is just a worse Viper V3 Pro.
I like the RMx Shift, I like team red GPUs, I have money to burn on overpriced AIOs, and I will consider your keyboard/mouse suggestions. Also I'm changing ram to 6800mt 96gb.

No budget now ): long story

Cheap optical drives are money down the drain. If you need one, you need a good one.
I've had like 2 external optical drives break, they were both under 75$

If you have money to burn build a custom loop, you'll get a pump that isn't anaemic, actually better than air cooling temperatures, and no mixed metals.

XTX has worse RT performance than a 4070S, so it's up to you, considering that will likely be 5060 level in a month, for a 5-6k build.

No chance you'll be able to run 96 GB at 6800 MT, maybe 6000 if you push volts.

I don't do RT, and really don't want to do a custom loop. Ram I will experiment with, although then why is it rated 6800mt then?

It doesn't really matter whether you care for it or not, it's the default and often only lighting system in games using new engines. It's getting to the point where it cannot be turned off without breaking games.

Not a triple AAA gamer. More cranking settings and lots of mods, less RT. Need lots of horsepower for Minecraft. (With 400 mods, shades, and Max all settings.)

Rt is not for everyone so stop trying to push it on people

Oh forgot about that, that's a deal breaker. I'll do some reaserch.

scumbag company

that list is a monster pc

I like that you added the dvd player. im the same. youll have to pry those media from my cold dead hands. I hate digital downloads. I love media I can hold in my hand. I wish games could be at least bought on a usb stick

I meant reaserch about other cooler.

I like ripping my 1000s of audio cds.

This! I've never played a game that supports RT. Or a game over 40gb, for that matter.

I love optical media, not everyone has a 500Mb+ connection and as large as some media is, it would take days on end to complete a download.

People need to understand 1 Megabit is only 0.125 MegaBytes.

I mean I have Gigabit internet, but actually owning music is nice.

RT is nice to have IMO and I’m enabling it when there is a separate setting for it.
It just doesn’t need to be full RT (high/ultra) or the other sick path tracing.
I’ve experienced no artifacts or distortions in CP2077 with medium RT lighting and all reflections on with FSR2.1 and lately with FSR3.

7900XTX here

At least you can see what RDNA4 will do before deciding on GPU.
And if you still go tor 7900XTX, consider Nitro+ also. Really excellent cooler on that.

Alternatives are XFX, PowerColor and AsRock, and yes I am a Sapphire fan.

Agree. When it's doable with a max 10% performance hit, then I may truly use it.

I'll use it on scenarios (RT'd shadows etc.) where the performance difference isn't that huge.

Do you think that makes a difference?
No. I will use this ram at 5800 or 6000mts, and upgrade to zen 6 later and get the full 6800. No point going 8200 48gb. Also why is this mobo's qvl up to 8200mt?

im team red :)
Even so - 8000 series and 5000 series will be out - why spend top dollar on last gen tech if you don't have to. I actually will be going AMD next round as well.
