Hi, i'm owning GTX 680 Jetstream 2GB from Palit. This may not be the GPU problem but still im writing here willing that someone would help me out with my issue. The problem is, I have regular fps drops, during some more graphic intense action (This game may look low demanding, but when it comes to huge teamfights it can even eat high end latest generation cards with ease). For example when a lot of special effects and dynamic lights are in action, i experience graphics lag, it is not very noticable until the middle of actual teamfight. The FPS tend to drop little by little. E.g. 125 -> 105 -> 89 ->70 -> 49 -> 37
I find it very annoying and terrible for a 1500 euro budget PC. Someone could help me out to find solution?
p.s. Don't offer turning vertical sync, that wont help alot, since i know my system can do better than 60 fps on that game.
PC specs:
CPU: Intel i5 - 3570k Overclocked @ 4.5 GHz per Core
GPU: Palit Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 Jetstream 2GB
PSU: Cooler Master ATX GX-750W 80Plus (RS-750-ACAA-D3)
Memory: Kingston Hyper-X Blue 2x4GB Kit @ 2133Mhz
MBO: ASRock Z77 Extreme-4
SSD: Corsair Force 3 120GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 3.5'' 1.5TB SATA3 7200RPM 64MB
Things I have tried:
1) Lowering all graphics settings to lowest (reflections, resolution, dynamics etc.)
Outcome: the FPS kept droping to exact same amount (replay test)
2) Messing with Nvidia Settings
Outcome: no difference
3) Downclocking CPU to Stock clocks
Outcome: Less FPS, increased instability (pretty weird in my opinion)
4) Turning antivirus and other background programs (Aero as well)
Outcome: no difference
5) Running in compatibility mode of all possible modes (Win95, Win2k, WinXP, Vista, Win7)
Outcome: no difference
6) Messing with task manager ( Priority and Core Affinity settings)
Outcome: when affinity was set to one core, it tended to go for 100% usage, according to OpenHardwareMonitor
