hey i need a socket 939 mobo with sli, had a dfi lanparty ut nf4 sli but had problems. the hd wasnt recognized. anyways i was looking to spend no more than 135 before tax. i have pc3200 ram i would like to put in as well. any suggestions. thanks:)

I have a friend with that board and he swears by it. A8N that is.

thanks a bunch i had been reserching that perticular asus board and it seemed like a good choice. i want more of a "plug and play board" and dont really want those pesky bios setting issues

keep an eye out for board revisions and bios updates with asus. I think there are two revisions of that board. Don't get caught buying old stock.

anyone else have any suggestions or oppositions to the asus mobo

im kinda iffy about dfi now but hey im a noob though

I was only kidding, but seriously though the D.F.I Expert is a bad ass board and the most stable board I have ever owned or used!

thanks ill have to decide, i might just return my current one for a new one, hopefully not the same issue. still open to suggestions. im off to bed:D

Nice one Esau...

Casums, I would stick with a company that is known for better support for their products, i.e., ASUS or Gigabyte. Whatever you decide on, read up on it like Esau said. Anandtech.com is good as is HardOCP.com and PCStats.com for any board you choose.

After you decide, I would then post the board and all it's components on hardware forums (this one, Steam, ocforums.com) to see if anyone has had problems. The Newegg customer reviews are helpful too, but read all of them.

Let me know when you decide and (before you order) I can help with the research.

wow that jetway actually gets a good write up!, like how they point out "some people will be screaming and flaming us for recommending this board" (jetway used to be shit) looks like they have stepped up a gear
