hi need help on reformating

hi guys this is my first post
i need help on reformatting my primary drive while keeping my secondary drive intact with all the old files and working with the new reformatted primary. My secondary is a maxtor 120 gb with maxblast 4. Is there any way i could reformat the primary and keep my secondary with all the stuff and works with the new primary drive?

Yes. Just reformat the first drive and don't touch the other. Simple as that. The secondary will still work with the reformatted primary fine.

in your windows setup you will see both drives just format the one where ypur windos is now on and let the other untouched
